Add 30-06 to your subject line.  That way Sourdough will see it for sure.  He's the king of the 30-06.

I'm a fanatic with the 30-06.  Can't remember the measurements I us mostly but I use a lot of RL-22, RL-15, and W760.  I only shoot three weight of bullets in my 30-06.  Speer 125gr TNTs.  Sierria 165gr HPBT, and 165gr Nosler Partition, I sometimes load the Nosler 165gr AccuBond as well.  I also load the 180gr Nosler partition, for heavy stuff like Moose and Grizzlies.  Have to admit the 180gr Nosler AccuBond is gaining favor with me, due to it's ballistic coefficient.  Just got to see how it performs.

Sorry I left my book with all my loads in it out in the shed yesterday, and it's 10 below right now.  Don't feel like going out an getting it.

Did find a box on the shelf in the laundry room.  Winchester cases, Nosler 165gr Partition, WLR Primers, and 61 gr of RL-22.  I've taken many Caribou, and one Black Bear,  with this box of shells.  At 61.5gr I got high pressure signs in my Handi.  I backed off to 61gr even and got good results.  My Savage bolt gun shoots 62.5gr of RL-22 with no high pressure signs, but the Handi can't handle loads that hot.  So be aware, start low and work up slow.  Each gun is different.

A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.

Check out my 30-06R project range report. Using Federal Premium 165gr Barnes TSX factory ammo I could almost get my bullets to touch at 95 paces.

Thanks, Dinny
