composting toilet
« on: March 26, 2013, 07:06:15 PM »
Anybody here have advise on composting toilets. I'm in the process of getting a permit to build a cabin in Pa.. Have to have either a 1000 gal. holding tank with a outhouse on top or a composting toilet. And i still have to get a $ 800.00 permit!!!! Plus possibly a surveyed plan! Starting to reconsider the whole project. You would swear i wanted to build 2000 sq. ft. mansion??? Anyhow, i'm looking for some info on composting toilets. It has to be waterless and non-electric. Looking at the sun-mar or something that is affordable. I'm looking at $ 1500.00 - 2000.00 at least to put in the tank and outhouse, so anything less would help offset the cost. Actually after i get done with all B.S. cost, i won't have any money left to build a cabin. BEWARE!!!   This is BIG government at work..  You haven't seen nothing yet! Wait for obamacare!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I looked into this back a few years ago for camp. Sunmar was the name i heard recomended most. After seeing like you did what everything cost we just dug a whole and put an outhouse. Figured the worse that could happen is theyd come and tell us to get rid of it.
