Buckmark / Ruger MK-2 or 3
« on: June 19, 2013, 08:29:49 AM »
My experience is limited with the Buckmark camper, just got one but rain has kept me from trying it out. Lots of experience with MK-2's none with MK-3's . So with the MK-2 I have seen very accurate and poor accuracy. Have a Govt. Target model from their first run and it is a tack driver. Had a slab sided SS target and it shot well but not as well as the GT model. I got it well used , very well used. Had a SS bull barrel 5-5.5 inch barrel that shot well. Had a special edition with nice grips , nice blue , gold trigger and 3 inch bull barrel it shot lousy for everyone who tried it. Have shot many others and accuracy was ok . Some were fixed taper barrels others adj sighted bull barrels.
 What have others experienced ?
I hear good and bad about the MK-3 .
With the Buckmark it is love or hate.
If ya can see it ya can hit it !

I have 2 MK3s.  One 4.5" bull 22/45 that gives me 3" at 50yds, and one 5.5" SS Target model that will do 1.25-1.75" at 50yds, and has done 4-6" at 100yds.  I'm happy with mine, but keep thinking of putting adjustable sights on the 22/45 to see it they make it even better than it is.

Had a Buckmark, good enough to hunt tree rats with, more accurate than I.  Someone stole it, or I would still be using it.  Thousands of rounds with no gun related malfunctions.

I like the buckmarks as well. I have taken several non pistol shooters and had them hitting shotgun hulls from 25 resting the grip on the bench within the first magazine with a dot scope. As said they are fine squirrel pistols as well. I just had the standard model. Went with a ruger charger because it's even more accurate for hunting.
