I Don't Buy It!!
« on: March 28, 2013, 10:07:14 AM »
has anyone else given mjuch thought to the timeline of the newtown mass shooting? depending on who you listen to, this commamndo-wanna-be broke into a locked school, shot 6 adults and twenty children, and himself. they tell us that he fired 100 to 150 rounds, blasting some of his victims as many as 11 times, putting at least 2 rounmds into all of them. his kill  rate was  essentially 100%. lets do a little forensic thought...just shooting to shoot, the average person would take a minute to 90 secs just to empty off that much ammo! now start aiming and then add moving targets....if you see where i'm going, things just don't add up. i don't claim to know what happened at newtown, but i am fairly confident that we aren't being told the whole truth! we ARE being lied to, whether by ommission or comission, but we are being lied to!

This part of the news articles is what I find very hard to believe..
A loaded 12-gauge shotgun was found in the glove compartment of the Honda Civic  Lanza drove to the school with two magazines containing 70 rounds of Winchester  12-gauge shotgun rounds.

must have been a special order glove box.

Maybe it was a really short shotgun...

People have been conditioned to believe everything they hear from their government and the news media.
Like I've said on other threads on this same subject. The media has told so many lies about this shooting, how can you believe any of it. Stories have changed constantly since this happened, and people say the reason for that is because of all the commotion and confusion. I say BS, they had plenty of time to get their stories straight without changing them every day. Don't know about you guys but if I'm lied to once, I'm hesitant to believe anything from that same source. I guess thats the reason I don't watch any news on TV. Plus I think the government has control over whats reported. Don't believe that. Just look at what gets elected.

Here are some more questions.

Cnn reporter said,  3 full 30 round mags on the body, 1 30 round mag in the rifle, 5 empty 30 round mags found in various locations inside school, and handgun in glove box, and shotgun in trunk. This makes more sense because the math works, but I do not know who is telling the truth.

Lets not forget that both sides report agenda biased information.

Cnn also reports NRA certificates but NRA say that shooter nor mother were members. I do not believe you have to be a NRA member to attend some of their training classes thus the certificates. They could have been members at one time and not members at the time of the shooting. Who knows what the real truth is?

One thing for sure we will not know the truth by the time we here it because of all  the biased information we are getting feed.

The Shotgun thing really caught my eye; Foxx reporters are often every bit as stupid and breathless about guns as many other anti-gun media reporters.  As far as Lanza shooting so fast - I don't know. But several different accounts say he was an avid gamer and there are some hints that he was fascinated with mass killings.  Add to that his apparent mental issues, high ability w computers, he might very well have had the practice and focus to shoot very very quickly.  Also, I'd bet a lot of those little kids were pretty frozen and not sure where to move. One account mentioned how Lanza appeared to have dropped partially expended mags for full ones - something very practiced gamers are known to do for speed and sustained ammo.

I do wonder why his mom was planning to let him buy another firearm. I've been around a  teen that seemed a little too fond of guns and blasting, in an odd way.  I reduced shooting time and spent time talking of responsibility, sought and discussed alternate activities, tried to model moderation, respect and maturity.  Might have worked a bit.  He's grown up to be a responsible pilot last I heard.

I looked up BBC to see how they reported the released info.  They seemed a lot more careful and didn't mention the shotgun in a "glove box or magazines w 70 rounds".  I took a magazine extender off an 870 I bought as I hated carrying around something so heavy - and it held 7 or 8 shots I think.

Many of the news accounts sure whoop up the 1,000 rounds.  I just realized that I bought 1,000 rounds the other day.  I found bricks of 500 .22 HS shorts for $7.43 and grabbed 2. They should be great for plinking in my single shots and levers for barely more than 1 box of 50 .22 LR - when you can find them.

I'm also getting tired how the press gasps and fusses over the brand names of the firearms used - Bushmaster and Glock - as if they are somehow uniquely lethal  vs other brands.

I heard a reporter on a radio news program also railing on about crossbows . Something about
one that is used in the TV series the walking dead.
A popular series umoung teens about a zombie apocalypse where the owner of the bow uses it
with lethal efficiency . The reporter was saying that these crossbows could be purchased just about
anywhere and this series could be giving kids some bad ideas.
Knives being used in the series were also mentioned mostly on how they were being used.

Reporters always seem to base their information on uniformitive conclusions spreading lies about
anything they can sensationalize on . The crossbow used in this fictitious series was built by
Matthews , at a cost of around $1.000.00 . And I am sure it wouldn't fit in the glove box of a car .
Not to mention it takes a whole lot of skill and upper body strength to ever master its use .
The producers of the second segment of the hunger games "Girl on fire " are already catching a lot flack over the use of a long bow by its lead character in that in that movie.

What's next is DHS going to be purchasing tons of bolts and arrows to end up causeing a shortage
on these items as well ? Better get em quick guys people are already hording these items in mass
numbers ! If you don't have a big nasty knife you better get on the stick and get one before the
zombie media sensationalizes on some stabbing outside a bar somewhere .  ::)

since i build my own longbows snd arrows, i can tell you that they are going to have a lot more trouble restricting the more 'primitive' equipment...anyboby with a little mechanical ability can make their own!!!

About the shotgun, would there have been fewer killings if that idiot had used it? I doubt it and what would the media be hating on, your pump shotgun.

I wan't a crossbow for concealed carry...............................................LOL
I can launch 8-10 arows out of my compound in the time it takes a crossbow to shoot 2..............  Good for sniper type shooting but not much else..........
Generally spray and pray type shooting yields a low hit to shot ratio.
Just another worthless opinion!!

Dakotashooter - you can keep your 10 arrow quiver, but you better make sure you only ever put 7 arrows in it...besides, why do you need a bow that can fire so many arrows so quickly?
