Good going and congrats to the both of you.

I hunt them every time we're at the farm, well not so much as hunt really, just trying to catch them out and take a few out of the area to be honest.

I have taken around a dozen or so with my 7" Javelina, using the Speer Gold Dot mostly and a few other bullets here and there. One thing I CAN say is the Rem Golden Sabre isn't up to this at all.

I haven't gone to pure cast yet in mine, simply due to the fact I cannot complain about the performance of the GD's. Using AA-9 I can pretty easily hit 1350fps and they shoot around 2" rested at 50yds. I have only recovered a few of them through the years. Those, like yours, were usually lodged against the offside hide, just shy of making it out.

Again congrats, and thanks for sharing.

41,

I looked hard at those Javalinas back In the day. I even shot a couple. But the AMTs where plagued with soft frames and I returned too many hardballers to trust one. A good friend bought a Automag in 30 carbine. Wow what a noise!! That had galling problems with its slide and went back too.

I love the premise and its look is damn sexy if you ask me. I just never made the jump. How has yours been? I bought a couple Delta 's and still have one along with my G20 6" KKM barrel.

Took a 140# lil buck last season with a hand loaded Winny Silvertip. Hit in neck quarteri g toward me at about 40 yards. The bullet took out bottom of two vertabre. Crossed th body punching thru a shoulder blade before exiting. Exit hold was about a half dollar, velocity was 1300+.

Deer dropped on the spot. I like those Silvertips, always have. You just cannot always find them. I load my G20 with Longshot and a 200 XTP. I'm looking for a 200 WFnGC mold. I am teating Double tap 200g WFNGC bullets too. My biggest issue is there crappy packaging. The bullets are loose in a too big box so when you get them 10/20% of the GC are off and 50+% of the lube is out of the grouves. My last two hundred where so bad I had to re lube them! NOT good...

Well I got it new close to 20 years ago and so far it has been rocking right along. I've not had any of the issues that most said were associated with it, guess I have been lucky, cause I know it has been through the wringer plenty of times.

I usually run the GD's over a goodly dose of AA-9 in Starline cases lit with Win WLP's. Never had an issue with them either. Can't say the same for the Rem Golden Sabre. I mean they shot awesome, and they might be great for two legged critters, but I hunt with mine and they simply didn't work out.

I think I have tried most of what has been on the market and always came back to the GD's. Well that said the Winchester bulk 108gr JHP's will hang in there with them but for the most part with as much as I used to shoot it, I would load the Win's for target and the GD's for hunting.

My close friend and hunting pardner said shooting it was like hanging on to a freight train while it was coupling cars. LOL But I've known him going on 35 years now and he is just now really getting into auto's. I have the 10 and a couple of 1911's, and probably would have gotten the Delta Elite had I been able to afford one. Now though, I am happy with what I got and just take the chastising about it with a grain of salt. Usually after a couple of clips through the target,  the mouthing off stops.  ;D

Yea I saw the GB, but I am already on a couple for my 41, once you go with those MP's, it's hard to look elsewhere ain't it. I think I have almost a half dozen of them and they just keep coming up with more that I am having a hard time stayin away from. LOL
