If you have never seen a Mauser Pleasure Rifle or more likely a picture of one look it up on line. It has to be one of the most useful and beautiful rifles every made. It was a gun for the wealthy , mostly officers to fill their obligation to have a battle rifle. It was built a tad stronger than most sporting rifles of its day. yet it retained beautiful lines and business like look. When I first saw the Ruger Guide Rifle the Pleasure came to mind although not a battle rifle it is built stronger than similar sporting rifles. There are differences the not the least of which is the muzzle break short bbl. but the contour seem similar. The PR when not at war was a big game rifle or plains rifle depending on cal. the GR fills the same nitch. Anyway check them out it's worth the look.
Ruger may have another winner repeating history once more.
