I was just flipping through the 2013 H&R Catelogue and noticed this statement, in small print, at the bottom of page 9; "Please Note; The .44 Mag and .357 Mag cannot be fit to any additional centerfire rifle barrels. They are capable of being fit with accessory shotgun barrels, but they are only operational with the .44 Mag or .357 Mag barrel that is shipped with the gun...."
I know that SB1 frames are not rated (by H&R) for use with high pressure centerfire calibers... but "not operational?" Does that mean that there is something different in the design preventing barrel mounting or ignition... or is that just "legalese" for "we don't want you to do it???" Just curious...
