The lawyer who helped secure the release of Brendon Raub, a former Marine forcibly incarcerated in a psychiatric ward by authorities in Virginia for political posts on Facebook, told the Alex Jones Show today that there are currently a further 20 cases in his county alone that are similar in nature to Raub’s detention.

John Whitehead of the Rutherford Institute also said that he had been contacted by numerous veterans in the aftermath of Raub’s release who had encountered similar problems with authorities attempting to have them declared mentally ill.

Whitehead attributed the high number of cases involving veterans as a consequence of the Department of Homeland Security’s aggressive campaign to demonize former servicemembers as domestic extremists.

Despite controversy at the time, DHS chief Janet Napolitano said she stood by an April 2009 DHS intelligence assessment that listed returning vets as likely domestic terrorists.

They are soldiers while they are deployed defending our country but are considered possible terrorists. when they return home.
I am so sick of our government treating our military service personal as if they are expendable when they return.
They put their lives on the line so we didn't have to to defend our country and our US CONSTITUTION and the BILL OF RIGHTS of their own free will.
Many don't return.
All of them deserve the up most respect and are entitled to everything that was promised them when they signed up.
Instead, they are treated like scum and made to look like madmen or nut cases because some of them have a harder time dealing with what they saw and went through while they were someplace they really didn't want to be doing what must be done in the name of freedom.
I wouldn't blame any of them if no one in-listed for military service as long as this country is so screwed up that it won't even take care of it's own soldiers!!!
I know I will do everything I can to keep my two young sons from ever having to serve if that is the way they are going to be thanked for a job well done!!!

good post longtom What we have to do is not have anyone sign up for military service.What these recruiters tell the enlistee is a pack of lies. We went the same route in Vietnam and got 58,000 killed for what, to protect our freedom? How did they protect our freedom if they never invaded us in the first place? The same goes with Afganistan . Sadam was different, he was a murderous crackpot.

The Gubment remembers that these brave soldiers, sailors, airmen, marines and coast guard all swear to defend against all enemies both foreign AND DOMESTIC........ the Gubment is truly afraid of the oaths our military has sworn because it knows that currently we have severe Domestic problems starting with the WhiteHouse,  and down through all of the alphabet soup of its agencies.
