Williams FP receiver sight

I have a Williams FP receiver sight that I ordered with the Target Knobs but they didn't send the right sight. So I ordered the adjuster knobs and I was wondering if there is a trick to removing the adjuster screws. I removed the 2 small lock screws and tried backing the adjuster screws back out but they only go so far and get very tight. I don't want to force them and was hoping someone here has a answer for me. Most likely something simple, but I can't see it.

I'd give Williams a call, I don't recollect having any problems like that with mine.
