How accurate are they? Accurate enough for squirrel hunting? Thanks.

Most of the ones I've owned(as well as the ones others owned) have been plenty accurate enough for squirrels up to 25-30 yards.

I expect at least as good as 2" at 25 yards from a hunting revolver in any caliber. My current Single-Six will do twice that good on my better shooting days.

What about the barrel bore difference?

Good question, this gun is issued with a spare cylinder in the .22 magnum.  There is a bore difference between them, I believe the .22 magnum is larger, so wouldn't that make the .22 LR rimfire cartridge, which most people use over the expensive magnum, less accurate as the contact with the rifling is diminished?

Thanks.

The barrel is sized to the 22lr. The magnum is squezzed a little more according to my gunsmith. I think it's .2245 for the magnum and .2210 (?) for the lr. Some guys rechamber T/C barrels in LR to magnum and claim more accuracy.

Theoretically, yes. Howver, much of the best in .22LR fodder is lead. The gases obturate the rear of the bullet much easier than with jacketed magnums. So, once you find the right load(s) for you particular gun, you may expect aroun 2", or less.

Increasingly, I'm of the opinion that we shooters have a harder time with the longer lock-time of a single-action hammer fall, and consequently our 'wobble time' is increase. That, and the fact that their triggers tend toward the heavy and creepy side right out of the box.

I have no problem wth minute or squirrel head accuracy with my single six.  It is also not to awful picky about ammo. Its my wobbly hands that I have a problem with.... If I ever get into CAS I think I will just call myself " Shakey " :-D  :-D
