I bought a new toy that might interest you. It`s called a Reporter. It sell`s for $79.99 at Radio Shack, and sometimes you can find it on E-bay for about $10.00 cheaper.
I use mine for a driveway anouncer, that is when someone drives down my 200 yard long driveway, it beeps me in the house, and lets me know someone is coming, friend or foe.
It comes with the Receiver, that plugs, in your house, and a PIR sensor or transmitter, that you put out in the yard or anywhere you want to have the area covered. You can purchase three additional transmitters to cover more area if you wish.
The reason I bought one is two weeks ago, May 23, Sunday, we had an attempted breakin. If I had my driveway announcer then, I would have heard them coming, or at least knew someone was coming down the driveway.
The unit is wireless and seems thus far to work extremley well. Oh and by the way, on the box it say`s its made here in the good old U.S.A.
