223 Superlight barrel contour and forearm selection
« on: April 22, 2013, 01:42:17 PM »
How does a TDC forearm or one of the laminated forearms look on a 223 Superlight barrel?  Is the barrel too small to fill the channel?  The TDC forearm looks odd on my 22lr Sportster, just too much empty space around the barrel.  I wasn't sure if the Superlights have the same problem. Thanks.

Doesn't look greatest, but guaranteed free floated!  lol  I think I have a fore end from a .410 I've been using with the Super lite barrel and it has a smaller indentation, but won't work on other larger barrels.  For general purposes, I don't think the space would be an issue though.  ;)

I agree with function not being an issue but I know on our 7-08 light contours if it is a synthetic forend and I add a rubber o ring I can even see the hollow open areas through the gap along the barrrel.
Now does it make a difference to the deer.... Couldn't know- they were unable to comment at the time of the interview.      ::)     thejanitor
