Extractor removel and replacement
« on: April 21, 2013, 05:21:59 PM »
I posted this on my rear sight removal but I think I should make a thread of it's own to get attention.  Is the procedure pretty much the same with the extractor.  I got a barrel with the wrong extractor and it doesn't reach the rim.  Got a new one coming.  I know their is a small spring under the extractor and to be careful and not loose it.  After punching the pin out will everything pull right out?  Then just reverse the procedure?
Thanks
Danny

Yeah, that's about it. I put my barrel in my bench vice (with soft jaw inserts in vice) so that I can use both hands to work on the barrel. It's pretty easy to replace.
