To all of my conservative and Republican friends- Let me let you in own how the inside of the GOP establishment works. It is highly detailed and confusing, so I am going to explain what happened in the most brief and understandable way that I possibly can. At the 2012 Republican National Convention one of Mitt Romney's attorneys pushed through rules that make it virtually impossible for candidates that rely on the grassroots and individual donations to win a presidential primary. With the new rule only losing candidates who have sold out to special interests and party insiders (like Romney, McCain, and Dole) can have a shot at getting the Republican nomination. This past week at the RNC spring meeting, Republican National Committeeman Morton Blackwell tried to reverse this decision and return what little power the grassroots conservative activists had in getting a real conservative candidate the nomination. It was voted down 28-25 and needed a 75% majority. Republican National Chair Reince Priebus is already praising this decision and trying to make it look like a good idea. Don't believe him. It is only an attempt to keep the RINO establishment happy. Republican National Committeeman Henry Barbour voted to keep candidates like Mitt Romney and his sell out uncle Hailey at an advantage of true conservatives. Not only did he vote against the measure, he was a huge smart ass to Mr. Blackwell on the floor. Here's a video:
