Well, I'll be gone for most of the weekend.  Gotta go on a guided pheasent hunt up in Kansas    I know, it's tough.

I'll be back to check in Sunday night.

Hold the fort down for me while I'm gone

Man I would love to do that. My son's new inlaws invited me this year but I couldn't swing it. Post up some detailed info so we can all have that hunt vicariously thru yours.    :)  8)

Well, I'm back

It was a great hunt.  We went up last night, and had prime rib and drinks at the lodge, then played blackjack till about 1:30AM (I walked away with five dollars than I started with).

Had breakfast this morning at 7:00AM, then went out to the fields to hunt.  My group of four ended up with 26 birds (24 phesants and two chukkars) total at noon.

I should mention that this is a controlled hunt area.  The birds are pen raised, but never lay eyes on a human before the hunt.  I have hunted pheasants all my life, and these act just like wild birds

Anyway, great hunt but I'm glad to be back.
