Since the SCOTUS has ruled that money cannot be limited in contributions to candidates/campaigns/parties, we need a law that does two things: completely eliminate any tax deductions for ANY contributions, AND make ALL political donations anonymous. They can still lobby; they can still contribute--- BUT, neither the candidates, the campaign workers, nor the parties can know where the money came from, under penalty of law. This would largely eliminate the influence of lobbyists, except in how they present their cases, and encourage elected officials to LISTEN TO THEIR CONSTITUENTS. Whaddayathink?
