The paradox..known as New York State

Recently a "midnight law" was passed by a sneaky NY governor and legislature.  It was an even more restrictive law than the one the Obamidiots tried to pass on a federal level. 
  That effort has brought out a map which shows the paradox which is NY State.  Of the 62 counties in NY State, 52 have rejected the law which Gov Cuomo rammed through with the help of his majority Democrat legislature in an unusual night time session. The map below shows the demographics for how the counties voted...and about how they line up politically.      ....Green = Conservative  Red = Liberal.. 
  Unfortunately, those red counties have the majority population and thus the tiny red tail wags the much larger green dog.
 
     I think folks in some other states will readily recognize thefrustration   e.g. California, Oregon, Washington  & Maryland.  I know Pennsylvania suffers under the same problem.  This misbegotten gun bill may be our best chance to gain "Upstate NY freedom"..I hope so!

      That is EXACTLY how it went !  Naturally, the cities wherever located, went the Liberal route. In case anyone is curious, the holdout counties outside the lower right cesspool corner (those that have not refuted Cuomo) are shown in red also.  The reason the 2 red counties upstate have not yet passed such a resolution is the same problem..Liberalism. 
  The one along the Hudson is Albany county and has the state capital and probably the politicians , flotsam & jetsum from the big city choose to vote there, since the big, rotten apple is a Liberal "slam-dunk".
   The other lone wolf is Tompkins county, a sparsely populated county but one which has both Cornell U. and Ithaca College, which are as usual bastions of Liberalism.
  When the map was made, not all counties had yet voted, so we may possibly gain 1 or 2 yet on the intelligent side..

The Dictator does not care what people think, just do as he proclaims.  If we could loose NY City what a sweet place NY State could be. The ones that voted for it were not all from the city, They need to be unemployed ASAP. Speak loudly next election.

   I have long had to explain to people that NY State itself has much to offer, it is just the few Liberal counties who elect hopelessly Liberal officials which screw it up! 
   No folks, NY State is NOT all sidewalks and tall buildings..  that is the slanted picture the "big apple" provides.  "Upstate"...which includes the Adirondack area, and all the state west of NY City are very different areas.  In far western NY State we are very different people.. much more like mid west folks.
   I see I don't have to tell you Tom, but many don't don't realize what a natural treasure lies here, if only we could dump the big city mess on the Atlantic coast.
