Cleaning after BP shooting?
« on: May 05, 2013, 08:25:09 AM »
I understand how to clean my Remington rolling block, (after black powder)  it's easy to break down to clean, but how would you clean a new type modern rifle or pistol?  Is there any type of spray cleaning?   Thanks

Beng,

I use a standard firearm or automotive break cleaner aerosol and spray the actions of my Browning BPCRs from above and below over a white paper towel to determine the liquid runs out clean.  After waiting a few minutes for the cleaner to evaporate, I then spray the action with a good firearm lubricant.  I prefer Rem Oil.
