Is this price for real?

I saw this on Gunbroker and have to ask: this is a joke, right?

I realize that Contender G2'S haven't come out of the factory for a while now and I have seen that things are slowly drying up. If that is the case, I have a 30-30 G2 that I guess I should sell. Shouldn't have sold my 223 then either.

Typical GB sellers market these days with plenty of fools out there.   But that kind of money for just a run of the mill Contender?   ::)    Got 23 bids, so at least two wanted it real bad.
 
It would have been of no interest to me as many know here that I wouldn't be caught dead with a G2 frame.  Barrel and furniture would have been of no interest either, scope not much.
 
I sold this one for way less about a year ago in comparison.  The Number One Hummer of all time made by anybody - a one of a kind custom and exhibition all the way.   But then I don't gouge folks, not even when it's crazy out there like it is now days.   Still have guns to sell... some still NIB, but not bothering until some sanity comes back.   I'd never sell on GB anyway.  I'd get way more than that just for the rimfire ammo I have on hand if I did (it's not for sale at any price).

No, the single barrel shotguns and rifles are breaking $200 in the gun shops and big box stores. Things are changing fast and likely to never be the same
