if the story is as reported, then the parents have a real reason to complain and i use complain mildly.my youngest daughter has had 3 open heart surgerys.the first when she was a few days old.
 
if at any time i was suspect on the level of care she was receiving i would of done my best to get a second opinion.
 
 her doctors basically explained well what was wrong with her and showed what could be done to fix it and what the long term prognosis was. no one doctor was in control of anything until she got to surgery. we talked at length to her surgeon and had confidence in him.
 
if you dont have confidence in your doctor then i would think you should be free to get a second opinion. for the simple reason that open heart surgery on a child is a incredibley heart wrenching thing to wittness.if it is not needed then you just put your child thru a incredible torture. to put your child thru that and not think hard about it and who is doing it is criminal in my opinion.
 
my daughter just had her 3rd open heart surgery at 15 and hopefully her last.her surgeon is probably the finest in north america.we got lucky i guess.

Watched the clip of this on Fox news yesterday.  Family must have had a security camera in the house or another family member recorded it.
 
Anyway, social services woman was a complete jerk, wouldn't even tell the mother where they were taking the child.  Mother was distraught to say the least.  Uniformed cops (FOUR of them I think) were standing around with hands on their guns!  They said something to the mother to hurry up, she was wasting their time.
 
According to the news the original doctor said he was required by law to call social services, but he said he told them that the child was not in any danger.  Of course the SS (social services, or?)  decided they knew better than the doctor.

Anyone else see the irony in this.   One arm of the government is snatching babbies from their parents because they feel that the babbies lives are in danger and yet another arm of the government is promoting the murder of unborn babbies calling it "freedom of choice."

  There used to be a very well known establishment in Bufffalo, NY called "Children's Hospital".  They run a charity drive each year, which I used to contribute to.  Then one day they changed the name to "Women's and Children's Hospital".
   I no longer contribute;  when asked I tell them NO..and I explain it is because they are saving children's lives in one area of the hoispital and destroying children's ives in another area of the same hospital..   I don't want to contribute to the death of thousands of children.

  That being said, the grabbing of that baby was an egregious overeach by the police and especially the CPS!  If you don't like the CPS taking your children away.. welcome to "big government"..

  That is what big nanny state government does...  They figure they own your children you don't.  Wasn't there some Dem congress woman who said as much recently.
    Today the federal government only tries to convince the "lesser quality" people to abort their children..but tomorrow, in a brave, new socialist world, they may demand abortions for whom they choose..
