I have taken two yotes while turkey hunting... Same scenario, they came in one the run to the yelping/clucking and hen decoys... One went down like a sack at 45 yards with a 3 1/2" #5 turkey load and the other at 20 yards to the same load, a couple kicks both time and then nothing. Yeah, even #5 will get it done, if I could get a turkey sized load in 3 1/2" #2 or BB, I would use a shotgun more often for yotes. As it is, the KH's go out when hunting brush, .223's when it is mid-range and the .243's when we gotta reach out and touch them... And I am chewing on turkey jerky as I write this...
