HUNTER. Good post Sir. Hero is widely mis used. He did a good deed, a brave thing considering that he might have been chg with breaking in had the situation been different. The media did him a disservice by bringing up his past. POWDERMAN.  :o :o
Mr. Charles Glenn “Charlie” Nelson, age 73, of Payneville, KY passed away Thursday, October 14, 2021 at his residence. RIP Charlie, we'll will all miss you. GB

Something to think about: I don't know of anyone, who has been declared a "Hero", that believes they are a "Hero"! Seems they tend to think they did what anyone would do.
Smokeless is only a passing fad!

Hero?

What am I missing here? A human encounters another human in distress, then he helps that person out at no peril whatsoever to himself.  It has become remarkable to have what was once a normal reaction?

A simple call on a free cell phone to the police has become an act of heroism ::) . Audie Murphy would be proud I'm sure. He is certainly a credit to his race isn't he? The laudable part of this thing is the fact he recognizes how ridiculous his celebrity is. Does the world really expect less?

I'm glad he was around when the girl cried for help. Under different circumstances he might have been at the grocery store, or otherwise occupied.

In other news did you hear New Jersey , Gov. Christy had surgery? ... Whatever sensationalism it takes to keep people away from real news.

Agreed!
I think "hero" is way over used.
I guess if you are just a decent person , that makes you a hero.
Why even being a victim is enough to get the title of hero now days!
