Any youngster's interested in traditional muzzle loader shooting??!

While enjoying the two very used Seneca rifles I recently purchased and have been tinkering with the last few days, I think I've discovered something not good. I just 'happened to ask' several folks - mostly young folks but then I realize I'm 62 so most are now 'young folks' around me : O....anyway I've asked "have you ever shot a muzzle loader?" and...they ALL have said "no, never have"~!!!
I guess I have my work cut out for me. Show as many as are interested how to do it. Been a while for me too so I'll be brushing up on everything involved.
I've deer hunted all my life with rifles, pistols, and bows. Been a 'bow only' deer hunter for the last 7 or 8 years and enjoy it immensely. However I may start getting back to muzzle loading IF ONLY to let some fairly experienced [otherwise] younger hunters learn 'how it used to be'.

Why not call your local boy scout district / council/ troop and see if they are interested in you showing the scouts how the front stuffers work and the history behind the moving from the match lock to the cap lock, and how a Scottish Minister liked ot hunt birds and did not want the damp weather to stop him and created the cap.
And either take the troop to the range or see if you cna go to the summer camp for a week and work on the rifle range.  With the shortage of 22LR they may welcome the front stuffers.  Not to mention you cna mine hte back stop for lead and reuse the lead.
I think I remember the Boy Scouts have a 50 cal rule and round ball only.

Becoming a state certified Hunter Ed Instructor would be a great way to reach out, used to do it before I retired, really enjoyed teaching a bunch of new hunters their blackpowder heritage.
