I've been looking for a Ruger No. 1 B in 7mm Rem. and there seems to be a large difference in price from place to place. Whats would be a good to average price for this rifle??? I'd appreciate any input... thanks!

I just went through this in the last two weeks looking for a Ruger Number 1 in .45-70 chambering.

The NIB price does vary widely, depending on the part of the country and popularity of that model and chambering.

In the Los Angeles, CA area, Isaw two $600 for .375 H&H tropical rifle, $782-$830 for .45-70, in Las Vegas, NV $649 for .45-70 or .22-250. Unfortunately, many shops are not interested in dealr transfer sales because of the minimum profit and inter-state paperwork.

Thanks a bunch, I really hadn't thought much about the area of the country affecting price. That definitely will make a difference. I live in North Carolina, so there may be differences. I appreciate it.

I purchased a 1B in 7mm Rem. Mag last year (used). Before I bought, I looked around my area for the prices of new. Huge difference as stated. The best I found was $650 at a local shop. Our Wal-Mart was just under $750 at that time.

The "little over $600" price I stated was a 2003 price. It is possible that the price may have increased for 2004. My local Walmart showed a 1B for $611 in their 2003 special order catalog.
