.45 Colt dies...
« on: June 26, 2013, 05:42:51 PM »
Is there any difference in the .45 Colt standard carb dies and the cowboy dies made by RCBS? Can I reload .45 Schofield in either die set?

How about a maybe , I'm not sure what the RCBS uses for a crimp length , with the Schofield being shorter than the standard colt round , you may have too much space between the top of the case and the crimp area of the seater die , it all depends on the amount of travel that the seater / crimp die has before contact with the shell holder .

Clear as mud , right . Best to drop RCBS an E-mail and ask the experts on this one .  ;)
