Carbine Tree Locking Mould Holder
« on: April 02, 2004, 02:55:06 PM »
Does anybody use the Carbine Tree Locking Mould Holder for casting bullets? I would like to get one, as they look good, but being in Australia it is always a bit more difficult to return it if it does not work. I cast bullets for my Sharps 45/100 and for Single Action Shooting. I look forward to hearing from you. A link to their site is here.

Ranks right up there with sliced bread and canned beer.  Just bought one this winter and will never use any other type of mould handles again.  Reduces extreme spread of weights if you watch your temperature as well as increase the convienience of casting as you only have to hold on to one handle to control the mould.  This handle is quite large in diameter and really helps prevent your hand from getting tired.

Doc,  I bought two of them and believe that they help you cast rounder, more consistent bullets.  I will be purchasing a Waage electric pot to replace my propane heater as it holds about 25lbs and maintains temp plus/minus 10deg, again a major help in casting better bullets.  Rbump
