What's the fascination with "superheroes"?
« on: May 30, 2013, 04:38:41 AM »
When we were kids and read the Superman, Captain Marvel, Captain America and Gree Hornet comics, they were admittedly fun.  However as we grew up, somewhere in our later teenage years, we matured and walked away from these hero fantasies.  Ironically today, it seems many adults are loathe to "graduate" from the super hero comics.  Why ?

I think it's because people were starved for entertainment back when they originally shown.  The idea of super powers like flying or stopping bullets is the kind of thing that appeals to kids, and older people alike. It's the stuff of myth, the Hercules myth in particular, but many others. Now it's all good action movie stuff.

IG, maybe they just don't want to face reality. They want to stay in a world where they can have fun/imagination, 24/7. gypsyman
