Shot my DPMS today,maybe a dumb question!

Everything I put thru my DPMS .223 shot good today but Hornady 60gr. and Sierra 60 gr. really shot good. The only issue I had was on the last shot, the bolt didn't lock open. Are ARs suppose to lock open on the last shot? Shot several mags thru it. Don

If the magazine was still in the gun the bolt should have locked open on the last shot.  Did you only use one magazine the whole time?

Yes, I used a 20 round p mag. Had a 30 round alum and a 20 round alum but didn't think to try them.

You can check the magazines without firing the AR.  See if it locks back with each mag in the gun and if the other ones work and that one doesn't you've found your problem.  Hope it's that simple and there are no other issues.

I had a similar problem with a Stag I just purchased,  The mag that came with it was the problem, though.  However, after comparing it to the Colt, the bolt catch did not move quite as freely.  I took it out, stoned each side of it and snipped off 1/2 of a coil.  Cleaned it, lubed it and put it back on the lower.  Now everything is fine. . . except the mag.  Sometimes the spring on the catch is stronger than the mag spring and the follower cannot push it up into position to lock the bolt.
