Santa Fe muzzleloader
« on: June 19, 2013, 02:15:44 AM »
Anybody remember the name of the company that produced hawked type muzzleloaders back in the 70s & early 80s. Winchester I believe sued them for trademark infringement and they went out of business.  :o they were located in Santa Fe, NM I believe.

Thanks,

Look into Western Arms Corp. I don't know if it's the one you are talking about, but says made in Santa Fe, NM. It's a .54 and looks a little like a lyman gpr.
Have a good one.

Yeah BF I think you are right. I believe the lawsuit that put them out of business was over the Western trademark Winchester owned.

I bought one in the early eighthys in 54. Was a good gun. I deer & elk hunted with it for a few years before going to a 58.
