A dangerous precedent to all states
« on: June 08, 2013, 09:23:40 PM »
IT TAKES LESS THAN 10 SECONDS to SELECT OPTION #2 TO VETO THIS BILL.

An urgent alert: Nevada Senate Bill 221

This is a gun registry. In a nut shell, if signed into law it would require a background check when a firearm is sold/transferred between private individuals. If it becomes law it will affect every private sale in Nevada, including to holders of CCW’s. A dangerous precedent to set for any/all states to follow.

The text of the bill can be read here…

http://openstates.org/nv/bills/77/SB221 ... D00010764/

It has passed Nevada State legislature and is on Governor Brian Sandoval’s desk. According to local news he will supposedly veto this bill. While this is in general a pro gun state with pro gun law enforcement, "supposedly" is not good enough.

Those who jump on band wagons to fight gun control can contact and urge Governor Sandoval to veto SB221. You DO NOT have to be a Nevada resident to do so.

NY passed this in Jan. 2013 when Dictator Cuomo pushed his agenda though in the late night hours. I would think Ca. allready has it also.
It is being fought in the courts, but the most feel he will get away with it as the courts are not on the peoples side and don't up hold the Bill of Rights most of the time.
I often wounder how such smart people have such a had time reading and interping such a simple sentence ,""The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.

SB221 was vetoed Thursday.

180 hits and no replies in support.   I hope some of you took the painless 10 seconds to make the call.   If not, shame on you that did not.
