I have to replace the o-ring that go's in between the tube that the action bars connect to and the tube that connects to the receiver itself. I took it back to Remington's Ilion's plant a few weeks ago and they sent it back to me the next day saying it's within spec.

I just don't see how it can be in spec when it just started rattling out of the blue one day. And if I hold it upside down and work the action, rubber pieces from the factory o-ring fall out in little pieces. Remington sent me two new O-rings. They said all I have to do is remove the forearm and the o-ring will go right in place. That isn't the case.

Anyone know how to remove the action bars and bolt from it?

There's a couple of  videos on youtube on the disassembling of the 7600 but none reference the o ring.  I'm not familiar with where it is but you should be able to tell from the video on what you need to do.

Gun Parts Corp (Numrich) has a good schematic.  The oring seems to sit at the end of the outer tube.  Likes been said go a search for 760/7600 disassembly.  Pretty sure it'll come up with a youtube....    You have to remove the forearm, then the outer guide from the action bars, then you have to turn the inner support/bar to remove the barrel.

BTW just FYI, the lady from Remington told you right though.  All you need do if replacing the ring is what you want to do is remove the forearm, open the action and place the oring in the groove on the end of the inner support bar.
