It's official, they're also the least trusted!

For a "Fair and Balanced" report on the poll read this by the people that did the poll:

Fox News once again most and least trusted name in news
http://www.publicpolicypolling.com/

They report, you decide..................

"When you look at the 8 outlets we tested individually, only one is clearly trusted by a majority of Americans. That's PBS"

I do admire your tenacity on this subject, you just need more than faux facts!

Not sure the poll provided any new info.

All that was learned was Republicans tune into a single news source while Democrats tune into many. and FOX is the most and least trusted news source depending on who you ask. Even the actual link quotes this.

What the poll actually states is most trusted among Republicans. It leads the way because of its continuing near total support among Republicans as the place to go for news- 69% of Republicans say it's their most trusted source.

Meanwhile Democrats are split between a lot of different outlets when it comes to who they have the most faith in- PBS at 21%, CNN and ABC at 18%, and CBS and MSNBC at 12% all poll in double digits.

The poll also asked which news team was “least trusted;” Fox won that, too, because many Democrats don’t like it.

Kind of a silly poll.

So how does this explain the complete washout of Liberal talk radio ?

This group dumped their liberal lemmings in favor of Rush and Sean:

Liberal readio is losing out across the country;  http://www.truthrevolt.org/news/liberal-commercial-talk-radio-disappears-ny-la-sf-2014

As far as NBC/MSNBC goes...Put a fork in them, they are all done..just have to wait for them to croak.. or veer sharply to the right:

Not sure to be quite honest where the liberal folks listens to radio. I do agree liberal talk radio has never caught on compared to conservative talk radio.  Do they call it progressive talk radio or is that different than Liberal talk radio?.

Aside from VPR up here in VT I'm not sure if there is a talk radio station dedicated to additional political viewpoints outside of the one conservative talk radio station we have.  Course I don't spend a lot of time traveling in a car to know. And when I do,  I'm normally tuned into a few country music stations we have.

I just thought the poll itself was kinda silly and useless because FOX has always been right leaning so naturally majority of conservatives would tune in , and from the poll numbers it appears the liberal side tends to be a little more widespread among their News information sources .  Then depending on who tho poll asked FOX was either the most trusted (GOP) or least trusted (DEM) news source.

Duh .... nothing new there ... We all already knew that.

Peace,

I go to FOX if I want to hear the truth.  I will NEVER forget or forgive the lib media for years claiming millions were starving or homeless under Reagan and Bush each night as if it was some sort of Vietnam era body count.  Then the next day after Clinton was elected we never heard anymore, as if he had solved a problem, which of course never existed.  Anyone read 1984 on this site?  Its plain to see that the lib media works in concert with each other and all use the same talking points (same as the White House) which if they worked independently, would be a numerical impossibility.  The more than blatant and obvious collusion of the lib media with the Federals, White House, Big Brotheresque government, NE megalopolis, is not only real, its truly frightening.
We've gone from true journalism, as it may have existed in the past, to advocacy. Riddle me this.  Whats the difference between a modern journalist and a advocate?  The answer is 'nothing'.  The only exceptions being Fox News, such as O'Reilly (one of the last few), or some conservative outlets that can relay what the truth is behind the lib media force fed pablum.  Lib media (so called journalists) have become govt. pawns,  and those that go against them are investigated or threatened with some kind of federal intervention.
Anyone remember Dan Rather and his constant anal probing of Bush and national guard service along with other news outlets?  Where was this so called investigative journalism talent concerning the Clintons or Obama's history?  Its just so simple to ignore what you don't like and attack anything that doesn't fit in with your pre-conceived notions.
If today's lib media want to keep their rose colored glasses on, tip toe through the tulips, and pretend they are oblivious to anything that increasing government expansionism or federalism is doing to this country, call it what you want, but by no means call it journalism and don't call it truth.  Call it for what it is for once, government led media advocacy and propaganda, and getting Hollywood behind it is only the next step.

Back in the 1980s I had already determined that if somebody had the intestinal fortitude to introduce  a right -leaning , or at least "fair & balanced", that they would clean up.  I just couldn't understand that any business minded person in the news industry did not see this!  The revolution apparently started with "America's Voice" on the Direct TV, soon to be displaced by Fox.
As far as talk radio is concerned, there was actually talk radio way back in the 70s, but it was basically "pitter=patter" or left leaning.  In 1988, I was finishing the interior of a newly constructed house I bought and was doing the interior and had the radio on.  There was some fellow on a talk show going on.. but as he went on, I had to stop and listen.  This was refreshing, somebody on the air whom I found myself agreeing with, point after point.  That was when I first heard of Rush Limbaugh!
I tend to think radio as opposed to TV, is most often used by working people, since they can work and still hear.  TV would draw somebody away from their work.
I am still amazed that so many young people use comedy shows to get their political information from, Jon Stewart being a case in point.  Comedians employ "comedian's license", and will sacrifice accuracy in favor of humor. Some on this forum have proven that point, claiming Sarah Palin said she could see Russia from her back yard. Of course Sarah never said that..rather a comedienne on Saturday Night live said that !  Sarah said one could see Russia from Alaska, which is very true.  Big Diomede Island (Russian) and Little Diomede Island (Alaska) are only separated by 2.25 miles of Bearing Straight waters.

I too discovered Rush in a similar manner and some where around the same time. I was blown away that anyone on a major network was actually saying what most people believed. It seemed like all the talking heads of the major networks were preaching from a "holier than thou" attitude and it really made no difference as to which network you followed, it was all the same.
It has been mentioned that "Republicans get their news from FOX while Democrats follow several sources" but it hardly matters how many sources you follow if they all just parrot the Democratic party line. The choice is FOX or all the others. If you don't get your news from FOX you aren't getting the news.

I have to disagree with CoyoteJoe's statement -

Quote
If you don't get your news from FOX you aren't getting the news.

That would be like a progressive stating

Quote
If you don't get your news from MSNBC you aren't getting the news.

Its kind of a meaningless statement because its based upon the political spectrum you fall into regarding your own personal views as to what you choose to believe as accurate reporting.

I consider all cable news sources as Infotainment.

I tend to read newspapers (which noted have their own bias as well) more than watch TV , Usually the Wall Street Journal which leans corporate conservative IMHO, and the New York Times which leans more social liberal IMHO.  I also follow Associated Press. Probably somewhere between the three I find my own equilibrium regarding topics of interest.

And I have to disagree with your statement because as I said all of the other networks just toe the line and carry water for this administration, FOX is the only exception. Where but FOX did you hear anything about "Fast & Furious"? Sharyl Attkisson of CBS did extensive investigation of Fast & Furious but her exposure was limited largely to her blog, she got much more air time as a guest on FOX than on her own network. I really don't watch TV news because I can get more information in 30 minutes on the internet than in a day of TV but much of what I get from the internet actually comes from FOX and almost nothing from any other network, unless I want to know what Miley Cyrus is doing with Justin Bieber, which I don't.

If FOX has the majority of viewers then some of them must vote Democratic, otherwise every election would be a slam dunk.

They have the majority of GOP viewers. 69% i believe what the poll quoted. I would hazard just a guess mind you , Dems are not getting their news fix from fox, but perhaps a portion of right leaning independents might be.

As I have said before, and it is common knowledge, there are two kinds of lies.
 A) lies of commission...and
 B) Lies of omission.

While the major networks (other than MSNBC) rarely commit lies of commission, their lies of omission are numerous.  This week the alphabets have been bombarding the air waves with an accusation directed against Chris Christie concerning a bridge closed for a time in New Jersey.  They are really digging to find out who was responsible..and why they did it.   Of course, the worst to come out of that bridge closing was some were late for work and some late for dinner..and that's bad enough..

But where were the alphabets and their digging when people on both sides of our southern border were murdered by weapons our government handed to the criminal cartels?

Where were the alphabets when several Americans were murdered in Benghazi and troops were told to "stand down" and refuse to rescue thee  Americans who were under attack?

Where were the alphabets when it was proven that the IRS was being run in a vengeful manner, breaking numerous laws?

How hard did they dig to uncover malfeasance in the state dept, dept of "justice and the IRS ?

Personally, I don't care how Christie comes out, I just hope TRUTH comes out..  But months ago I longed for the truth concerning  F&F, Benghazi and the IRS..

BTW:  The ones who gave the closure orders have been fired by Christie.. Why not Holder for the "justice" dept, Clinton for the state dept and that Learner, who took the 5th for her job at the IRS.

Could they have not been fired because the illegal actions taken were 'not within their pay grade' but decided at a higher level?  Seems to me that I've heard that "above my pay grade" excuse given once before.
