Gillmor Ordinance apparently no longer has an internet presence, though youtube videos are still up.   Bob doesn't seem to answer emails though he has one & receives messages.  I understood that barrels are made to order only.  I called on the phone, Bob said that he had the desired barrel in stock, already polished (extra cost option thrown in), did I want it?  (After casting a customer decided to go to a 3#er.)  I had picked out what I wanted to upgrade to when I first made contact a couple of years ago, now it was time to act.  I made payment through paypal.  Barrel has been shipped 5.10.12 FedEx with tracking (68#).  Tracking shows it moving with ETA of Tuesday.  The swivel yoke I ordered, to be cast tomorrow.

He makes a nice barrel, I hope if and when I find myself a new place to live and can put a little money aside to buy one of his tubes....

The yoke has arrived.  Nicely done...  very heavy duty.  I'll have to seriously ream out the hole on my mounting block.

I hadn't brought the swivel in from the camper since my Memorial week trip but needed to set it up & organized before the 4th.  Son of a Gun this sucker is heavy!  I managed to get it onto a low stool & then lift it onto my mounting box, then get the yoke into the hole.  Man-o-man, I'm going to need strong help on 4th of July.
Member exLimey has the original of this design & I can see why his is on a wheeled carriage.

That's a great looking barrel, and the shape that got the whole obsession going as a boy.  Like to have a swivel some day.  Need to get a big farm so I can take a few shots off the reenforced porch railing after breakfast.
