You are unclear as to what you are needing to do.
I would expect a powered wire brush would scratch or worse the bore in a circular direction. I really hope that such cleaning is really not necessary except on an abused bore. I'd want to use other cleaning techniques first to get as much rust out as possible.
I turned a wooden "jag" with a bolt to match a bench rod for my last cannon... With a rag on said jag, I was able to pump Murphy's oil soap through the vent of the swivel cannon (1.25"). I oiled it down with oil on the rag after it dried.
The old gunsmith's standby for old abused smoothbores (shotguns) is a cleaning brush with fine steel wool wound into it, some solvent & a cordless drill. As long as it is lubed with the solvent/water mix it doesn't damage the bore... used sensibly.
