I say get rid of the lieing, false, crooked, politically motivated olympics and use the money for better things.

I wouldn't have any problem at all with them par it back to about 10% of what it has become.

I would be really interested to know what the costs and benefits are to the countries that hold the olympics. $50 billion is a lot of money to recover. There is a limited number of people who can attend, so that is probably a small fraction of revenue for the games. Advertising and promotions? I have a hard time believing it's anything but a net loss.
 
It's like funding a war or a space program.
