Ok this is more of an ammo question. I have a Savage MKII .22LR Bolt Action w/t 10 shot clip. I had bought a box of the CCI Stingers a while back to try in it. Well I was getting ready to go the range later with a couple of guns and figured I'd take this one too so I loaded one in the chamber to see how it fit - fit good but the bolt wouldn't cath it to eject it out. Wound up having to use my pocket knife to get it out. Anyone else ever have any of these type probs with this ammo and how can I solve it?

Stingers are not recomended for most rifles.. I think the chamber must be tight on your rifle. which is  good thing.. So I would try cleaning it maybe. the other ammo you have been shooting may just be slightly different in length and the powder gunk is holding the casing in.. Just as though as I have no clue without seeing the rifle..

Solve it by not using stingers. :)

they have a longer case.
a search will reveal most everyone has the same problem.

std. vel. lead hp's are the overall best round to use, target or hunting.

also check that someone hasnt dryfired it till the chamber has a dent, causing a tight spot. I once bought a gun at a pawn shop that had this. a little polishing and it was good as new.

If you need more zip, you might want to try the Velocitors. They chamber well in any firearm and are pretty accurate for such a high velocity number. Definitely minute of squirrel head.

Who makes Velociters? thats one Ive never heard of.I have six 22 rifles and only one shoots stingers well. If these will cycle an auto it would be worth it to look for them. Thanks

They are made by CCI.
I have found that they are very accurate out of my hopped up 10/22, which is surprising for being a very fast, non- target style round.
Around my neck of the woods they are about $3.50 a box of 50.
