shield 2.0
« on: March 24, 2020, 10:55:18 PM »
got one the other day. Ive got a 1.0 in 9 and 40 and allways thought they were the best bang for the buck of any handgun ive ever bought. Dead reliable and cheap. Only thing that even comes close is a lc9. I really like this 2.0. Yup the trigger is a bit better. Not world changing but maybe 6lbs vs 8lbs. What I really like is the texturing on the grips. Sticks to my hand like glue. Might have to buy a couple more and sell off my 1.0 guns.

Have you seen one of the new EZ Shield guns Lloyd?

My hand strength sure isn't what it used to be and I've been thinking of one of those in 9mm to replace the Shield I often carry.

not in person bill but they look to be a larger size and that grip safety doesn't do much for me. On my comp 1911s I allways pinned the grip safety in because if you don't have a good grip they wont go off. Something you really don't want in a self defense gun when you may be shooting weak hand or with a bloody hand or with compromised grip strength. Guess a guy would disable it on one of them too though. Really don't do a lot for me. Might be the ticket for someone with weak hand strength but at 62 I can still bench what I did when I was 30 and I still work out at least 3 days a week. My back and legs aren't great anymore but my arms and hands can still get it done. I have thought about one for the truck the wife drives though. She can rack a shield but does struggle a bit to much to make it what I call smooth. But the gun is loaded and theres a round in the tube. All she has to do is pull the trigger and I doubt she would ever fire more then 6 shots anyway and I don't think she could even reload a gun under the stress of a fire fight anyway. .
