Avoiding toxic chemicals in the home and on the trail
« on: November 11, 2019, 04:14:02 PM »
The first step in keeping our health is to avoid things that can make us sick. Sometimes sickness is immediate and sometimes it’s the result of years of exposure. Like so many things, the fix is easy once you know what to do. We’ll limit this post to a bullet list of products you want to stay away from followed by an option that’s safer and effective. Comment with your questions and watch for detail and data in our responses.

  • Washing?  Replace detergents with real soap.
  • Pest control/prevention?  Replace harsh chemical ingredients like DEET with safe plant-based insect repellents.
  • Sanitizing & Cleaning?  Replace chemicals created in a lab for effective options that were created in nature.
  • Sunburn protection? Replace toxic sunscreen containing nanoparticles for natural options that really work.
  • Equipment care? Let’s talk about the safest options for gun cleaning.
We are prepared to answer your questions about best practices for yourself and your family, for your home or off-grid cabin, and for camping or trail riding. The goal is to keep our bodies strong and healthy while creating minimal impact to our environment.
