Bushnell 3-9x32 22 Rimfire Scope
« on: February 17, 2004, 02:35:17 AM »
Does anyone have experience with this scope?  I am looking to purchase an inexpensive scope for my Rem 597 22lr and I don't want to drop a ton of money.  I am not looking to purchase a Leupold, Swarovski, Nikon or the like as my budget for a rimfire scope is low.  I want to buy a cheap scope...When buying a centerfire or shotgun scope I spend more but this is only for a rimfire and the recoil is not there.   Thanks for any input you may have regarding the Bushnell 22 Rimfire scope.

Never used that particular one but have used a few Bushnells over the years and never had any problems with them so I would suppose these would be no different. I know a lot of guys say buy the best glass possible but I have used Cheap glass for years and never noticed much of a difference.  I have a Leopold I bought used on my 22 mag Henry that I like and that may be a option take a look at some used scopes also you might get a top of the line scope cheap or at least the same price as a lower piece of glass. I have a Tasco 3x12 I bought cheap on my 22. It works fine. I figure any decent scope will work ok on a 22 and I have never really noticed any parralaxx problems with them either. Jim
Said I never had much use for one, never said I didn't know how to use it.

have a 3x9  it might be called a banner model not as good as 3200 3x9 but acceptable for a 10/22 shooting 150 to 300ft

Dick's sporting goods had a Simmons 3x9x32 on sale for $39.95. Wally world should be close to that in price. There good for squirrels, crows and plinking. :D

I have a Bushnell 3x9x32 on a Romanian M69, and I can't imagine any scope improving the groups I get with this setup.  I agree, big $$$ on a rifle that you probably will rarely if ever shoot at even 100 meters is money not well spent.  Only my opinion.  Glen
