was this bills decision? Big step backwards if you want civility on here if you ask me. Id say fine if its a general bible thing. But a big NO if were going back to attacking specific religions or there members. I guess I don't understand why anyone would want those kinds of hate posts on an outdoors forum. Theres plenty of religion fourms on the net for things like that.

The problem on the other board was that posts ABOUT religion were not necessarily an attack ON IT, certain folks need to learn the difference. CHARLIE.  :(

Well, post count went up.  :)   You can start a thread about anything you want. Fighting and name
calling will be not tolerated . You got your religious discussion back, use it wisely.

It seems misnamed to begin with.
Bible discussion, faith discussion, Christian belief discussion, anyhow, with posts in the PBS we will see if we can it going and keep it positive, thanks.
Good to see you pastorp, and all.

It would seem that here we are right back where we began. Opinions are not hate speech as one contends. As long as that certain one remains unleashed I can’t see how this can work.

The only way is to give freedom of speech to all but enforce the baiting and name calling and profanity taboos.

He has been very civil here. I find no fault in him. This is a different site, its ran differently.

Threads are easily monitored. When an entire forum isnt. No one hardly showed up here for a long time.
What made you change your mind?

no mind change, a "religion" tends to be an organization whose rules, rituals and doctrine are adhered to make the participant right with G-d, they are the result of an organization placing itself between the person and G-d, it was never that way.
Jesus paid it all on the cross, all authority was given to him, not an earthly organization.

Don't think it was one persons "decision", I trust the decision was made after consultation on the best direction for the site that we enjoy and the good of all who participate.

best wishes

OK I've now talked to Matt on this subject. He is kinda busy at his day job at the moment but said he'd get around to addressing this issue eventually.

From what I gathered he and I both got rather cryptic message from David and we both gave rather general replies since neither of us had any clue what he was intending. From that I believe he decided it is better to seek forgiveness than to ask permission so he didn't clarify his plans.

Ultimately the site is Matt's so the decision is his. I think his inclination is to leave it run and see how it goes. BUT let's be abundantly clear. Any attacks on each other's belief's and putting down other religions will end it faster than you can say bye-bye.

So no attacks on the catholic or any other church group, well OK muzlims are fair game.

Clear enough?

There was no "attack" on anyone's religion, in keeping with the rules a discussion was begun and a video offered of an interview with a priest.

Islam is not a religion, it's an ideology like communism.
Democrats embrace both of them. :)
