On some pistols with marginal ejection capabilities..lifting the shell while ejecting, may cause problems along with in rare cases, a casing may fall back in.I once read an article about shooting a gun like that in Guns and Ammo. It was the IDF who first stated doing that. They had FA pistols, ( Baby Eagles) and in room clearing those pistols would climb when firieing. So they did that to compensate with the climb.
