gave my 4 cyl 2000 tj to my granddaughter about 3 years ago when I picked up my 2015 wrangler willys. Son in law borrowed my pickup yesterday and drove the jeep here and left it while he used it. I had to take a ride. UNBELIEVABLE how old and underpowered and rough riding that thing is compared to the newer ones! Truly closer to the original army jeeps then it is to the JK's. I forgot what it was like to rarely be able to use 5th gear and is so lacking in power that passing on the highway is about dangerous. Darned thing at a 140k still runs like a sewing machine though.
