I've found that belt blanks of 1 1/2 or 1 3/4" width are perfect for knife sheaths. I get them at the gun show for $13 apiece, and one will make do for two shorter knives or one very long knife.
That's pretty cheap and there is no waste.
Also, I can get copper harness rivets at my local hardware store. 'Wouldn't have thought anyone would know what they're for! :wink:
