22-250 and 204 ruger availability (the big tease)
« on: February 25, 2004, 07:41:09 PM »
I called Nef on Feb 9th to ask about 22-250 and 204 ruger availability. I was told the 22-250 rifle would be out this spring and the barrels will be availableby summer. The 204 rifles might be out by fall and no answer on the barrels. Why do I feel like the catalog I have is just a big tease?

It's called "pre-marketing."  Build a market for your product before it exists.  Creates the NEED to buy it now, because we all want what we can't get.

IMO, Ruger is the worst offender in the firearm's world.  They have done this for years.  Ever see one of their new SxS shotguns that was on last years catalog?

What do you expect from a company that had its policies set by scum that would sell shooters down the river in order to negate his competition's marketing advantage? (Bill Ruger's testimony on the high cap mag ban)

My vote is still out on Bill Ruger (RIP).  His action pales in comparison to S&W (fortunately, now American owned again).

The people who made the S&W deal were eurotrash. Any American who expects better from them is a fool. Ruger was supposedly an American.

Think Varmints !! Reach way out and touch a sage rat with a 32 gr ballistic tip at 4250 fps !! RED MIST !                                                       Think fur w/little damage.                                                              Maybe most anything you would do w/ a centerfire 17 , this round will do at even longer ranges. (IMHO)                                                                                             Go here to check out Hornady's 32gr V-Max .204 Ruger (http://www.midsouthshooterssupply.com/204ruger.asp)                          Time and experience will tell the practical uses for it --- I hope it lives up to the hype.       Ken

I was talking to my buddy with the FFL ... He said he checked three distributors for the .22-250, it's at least a 90 day wait.  I'm like number 180 on the list :(  No new toy for spring P-Dogs, hopefully it'll be here for summer ...
Always dally thumb up
