Ruger plans for marlin
« on: February 28, 2021, 11:09:26 PM »
I am so pleased the Marlin name, patents, production, machinery and all associated rights were acquired by a gun company, rather than and "investment company.

Interesting video.
I hope they do well, and put out guns with the same Marlin quality.
I have a very old Sears model 43 (aka marlin 81) that shoots very well but is ugly as sin.
And the safety is reversed.  I keep a tag on the trigger guard stating that.

I need another .22 like I need a hole-in-the-head, but if Rugewr again produces the model 60, with the original quality, I may just bite!
I must admit though., that Marlin 880SQ, would shoot right along with any rifle I ever had, including the base model Anschutz target rifle I had...and beat most all of them. My gunsmith/weapons designer grandson has that gun now.
Below. an old photo of that 880SQ, with woodchuck..I spray camoed the stock..
