Finally saw some .22 LR at ChinaMart.
« on: April 11, 2013, 01:16:54 PM »
I didn't buy any however. $4.00 a box is a little too much for Remington Subsonic ammo in my opinion. I bought another pack of .177 pellets instead.
Hi NSA! Can you see how many fingers I am holding up?

I'm sorry to say it, but I really think that $4 a box is going to be the 'new normal'.  :(  44 Man

sad,but I know LOTS of people who would pay 40.00 a brick right now. I would if I was out or close to out.
any more than that and I too will be buying pellets for the air rifle.

I consider myself lucky to find .224 bullets for my K-Hornet recently.  The only loaded ammo I'm finding is a few odd rifle magnums and 20 gauge shotgun skeet loads.  If I didn't have a supplies on hand and cast, I wouldn't be shooting my handguns at all.

$5 -$6 a box is not unusual.
Seen  $24 box of 100 Winchester short target.

Not likely to change anytime soon.

I was at Walmart the other day, they had 3 @ 500 round packs of Federals, looked like the champion boxes..but in biege color(?) They were $21 and change..beside them boxes of 300 SuperX as below..
 for $40 and change.

I am fairly well stocked, so didn't buy any..but before I left, a fellow bought 2 boxes of the Feds..

  Quite a contrast..

Yes, this link I posted above, is Federal's website..not some rip off artist...  take a look..

Remember back when Obama shut down the only lead smelter in the US..that may play a part, as well as other Demonrat anti-gun manipulations..

The big issue for reloaders is primer availability (and cost).
