Haven't been able to pull a bow in years. I also had to stop going up in tree stands. So I just stopped hunting at all several years ago. I can't walk far enough to even get out of sight of my truck anymore and even if I shot one I'd not be able to get it back to the truck and loaded up.

Good night,  surely there's someone that
would assist you to load up an animal if
you took one. I helped an elderly neighbor
load one and field dress it last (?) year.
I met one older man a couple of years back
that had to quit using a conventional bow,
and went to a crossbow.  The way he explained
it,  he had some kind of cocking device that
wound up like an electric winch since he was
unable to use a cocking rope device like I do.
There's a way around it.
