Maybe they should call it the Ram Lamb

(Ram)

Fiat Chrysler’s truck brand has unveiled a new version of the Ram 700 compact pickup it sells in Mexico and other Latin American markets.

(Ram)

The tiny truck is a rebadged version of the Brazilian-built Fiat Strada and is available in two-door and four-door models powered by a choice of four-cylinder engines, all with fewer than 100 horsepower. Nevertheless, the company says it can handle a 1,653-pound payload and tow up to 882 pounds.

(Ram)

The 700 is about the same length as a Jeep Compass SUV, and the two-door offers a 40 cubic-foot bed, which shrinks to 24 cubic feet on the four-door model.

(Ram)

Just like its full-size sibling, the Ram 700 is offered in SLT, Laramie and Big Horn trims. Prices for the new front-wheel-drive 700 haven’t been announced, but the outgoing version starts at around $12,000 in Mexico.

(Ram)

And that’s probably as far north as you’ll ever find one, because while Ram is working on a new midsize truck for the U.S. to slot in under the Ram 1500, dividing that number by more than half is more (or less?) than the American market can handle.

It's just another truck shaped car.  We're not missing anything that they don't sell them here.

It looks kinda cute and cuddly but my John Deere Gator can haul and tow more than it. But the Gator isn't street legal.

yup just another honda pilot clone but maybe even smaller and less practical. bet my challenger has as much room in the trunk as that thing does in the box. Heck i an fold down the back seats and carry things even longer then that thing would. Make it electric, paint it pastel colors and at least the liberal yuppie women will buy it.

We saw a VW pickup truck up here driving around with Mexican plates. I didn't even know that VW made them.

I never understood the people
that bought a truck never intending
to use it as a truck.
If I didn't use mine as often as I
do,  I'd have the cheapest, plainest
small car I could buy, and rent a
truck the 2 or 3 times a year I
needed to use one. Probably also
have a small trailer if I had a place
to store it
18 MINUTES.  . . . . . .

theres not a truck rental other then a Uhaul enclosed moving truck place within 200 miles of here. Im just the opposite. I say why buy a car when a truck is just as comfortable, holds its value better, and is there when you find out tonight that you need it in the morning. Everytime my wife has to drive to work in a snow storm the price of my truck is justified.  I think most up here agree with that because trucks outsell cars probably 4 to 1 up here. Alot of it too comes from what your vehicles mean to you. Some see them as just basic transportation. there more then that to me. There a passion. I love guns too. Im not that guy who has one 270 savage axis and h&r 12 guage single shot. Could i get by with them? Yup and if i decided i want to go out west to hunt elk or to canada to hunt moose i could surely borrow a gun. To me lifes to short to settle for what you can get by with. I get what i WANT. Want a gun to hunt moose go to the safe and choose from 20 of them. I wanted a jeep i bought a jeep. I wanted a car for a toy, i bought a challenger, I wanted a 4 wheeler i bought two. I wanted a side by side i bought it. Used to want harleys and bought them too. I used to fish and bought a few boats. Didnt NEED any of them. I could get buy with a tiny 4x4 sport utility and 2 guns a pack of hotdogs and a loaf of bread and hold my bank book in my hands waiting to pass it on to my kids. but how much fun is that! Not this guy. If i die with 10k in the bank ill be kicking myself in the but on my death bed!! If they want something when i die they can take what i have or sell it and buy what they want.
