Bob; I am surprised that you are still into the film cameras. Can you still obtain film? ..And I suppose you have to do your own developing work. Actually, most professional photographers did their own developing and printing, even back when film was used.
My son is a full time professional photographer, and doesn't uase any film cameras of any kind any more. Digital is so much more versatile and no struggle with films..loading, unloading or developing.
He rarely does any weddings..since there is often a great deal of drama involved. If he does a wedding, it is for a family or friend, and at no charge. For weddings, the client expects the photographer to arrive at say...noon, and stay all tolled, perhaps 10 or 12 hours... collecting maybe 7 or 8 hundred dollars.
Since most of his work is high end real estate, models, corporate or commercial, to include video and/or drone, 10/12 hours in the field, such jobs should return at least twice that.
Of course, once he leaves the assignment location and arrives back home, then starts hours of computer work.
Monday next week, he will have a new shell building (14X30) moved in to serve as his studio. It is being finished now by an Amish contractor/neighbor. The electricians were working on the service line yesterday. The interior ill be finished by a local craftsman, or perhaps my son if he has time, since he has experience in the building trades.
It is so great when a man can do what he truly loves..and still make a good living !
