I've dug deep in the C19 vax issue, and raised it in ethics conversation with senior military medical folks who are largely skeptical - which is unique. Plenty of concern on all the different variants - some are fetal cell based, some raise issues of the exploitation of African Americans and reparations, and some raise the DNA issue. Right now the mRNA versions seems the most ethically developed, because it deals strictly with RNA and not DNA. However, the long term efficacy right now is on par with just getting infected - you're probably safe from reinfection for 6 mos only. But to be on the safe side, figure 3 mos. And the side effects of the vax look like C19, so you have to carry a card saying you've been vaxxed or else authorities will want to treat you like you're contagious. My daughter's entire family, to include my 9mo and 3yo grand boys, all got it, and they've been issued cards indicating they are safe for 3 mos ... as near as the authorities believe. There is still a big gap between what the authorities say is science-based, and what the scientists actually say ... scientific American had a great article on that.
I guess my point is that all of us should be very cautious of the vax - there are 202 in development, and they are not all equal, and each of us may have issues with the different development procedures, never mind that the efficacy even of the leading versions is still uncertain over time, as are the side effects. This may be a great one to opt out of in the initial release if you can. Some of us may not be given a choice in the matter.
